CANASTA

Canasta is a classic card game for four players in two partnerships, part of the rummy family, that originated in South America in the 1940s. The goal is to score points by making "melds" (combinations of three or more cards of the same rank) and "canastas" (melds of at least seven cards). Played with two standard decks of cards and jokers, players draw cards, meld combinations, and discard, with the first team to reach 5,000 points winning.
