The Azul series of board games is a collection of visually striking, tile-laying games. Known for their elegant mechanics and stunning aesthetics, the Azul games are inspired by decorative art forms and appeal to a broad audience due to their simple rules yet deep strategic possibilities.
Azul – The Original
Theme: Portuguese azulejos (ceramic tiles)
Gameplay: Players take turns drafting colored tiles from factory displays to their personal boards. Tiles are then placed strategically to complete patterns and earn points.
Goal: Score the most points by completing rows, columns, and specific patterns.
