This time we're heading to the American West with Boonlake. Set in a fictional region of the American West, Boonlake sees you exploring new territory and developing your own settlement. You'll build houses, raise cattle, gather resources and develop infrastructure as you gradually establish a thriving community.

There's plenty to think about, with lots of different ways to develop your settlement and score points. One of the interesting features of Boonlake is its action selection system. When you choose an action, the other players get to benefit from it too, so you'll need to consider not just what works best for you, but how much you're helping your opponents.

It's a substantial strategy game with plenty of decisions to make.

As part of our We Read The Rules So You Don't Have To series, we'll explain the rules, guide you through the game and play alongside you.
