Daggerheart is a fantasy tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG) that focuses on narrative-first storytelling, high-action combat, and collaborative worldbuilding. The system uses a unique "Duality Dice" mechanic and illustrated ability cards instead of traditional, book-heavy inventory tracking.

Key Features & Mechanics

Duality Dice System: Instead of a d20, players roll two twelve-sided dice (2d12) of different colors: one for Hope and one for Fear.

Card-Based Gameplay: Character abilities, weapons, and spells are tracked using hundreds of illustrated cards, making inventory and combat options quick to reference at the table.

Story-First Combat: Combat operates on a dynamic "action tracker" rather than strict turn-based initiative. Players take turns acting, but if you roll with Fear, the GM can interrupt your turn and take the spotlight.
