ABOUT THE EVENT
Whist is a classic card game in which players attempt to win tricks by playing the highest card in a particular suit. Or by playing their trump card! The rules are simple (and we will teach) but there is lots of room for strategy.
In a Whist Drive, we play 24 hands of Whist. We play at tables of four, with two 'lady' and 'gent' partnerships. You can choose whether to be a lady or a gent. The winning partnership stays at the table. The losing lady moves up a table and the losing gent moves down a table. This makes it a very sociable game as you're playing with different people each hand. Everyone has a scoresheet and the person who wins the most tricks over the 24 hands is the ultimate winner!
